SkyHook and SimpleGeo Present SpotRank, Now You Can Always Find Where The People Are - O'Reilly Radar

This is a new type of data. Never before has something like SpotRank been released. It will be used mobile apps and mobile ads (as Stump pointed out, it could cost more to show an ad in a busy part of a city). I can also see it being used city planners and corporate real estate agents everywhere. It will also give us great insights into human behavior.

Mobiel Internet voorbij kritische punt

De deze week door Forrester Research gepubliceerde Western European Mobile Forecast 2009-2014 maakt duidelijk dat mobiel internet (MI) het kritische punt gepasseerd is. In ons land wordt Mobiel Internet  door 15 % (omgerekend 2,5 tot 3 miljoen) Nederlanders regelmatig gebruikt en de lichten voor een blijvende groei lijken allemaal op groen te staan:

  • Stijgende verkoop van 3G+ handsets   (22 % in laatste 12 maanden vlgs GfK)
  • Stijgend aandeel van internet-centric mobiele telefoons  (2% in 2007, 8% in 2008 en 25 % in juni 2009 vlgs GfK)
  • Ruime beschikbaarheid van ‘all-you-can-eat’ databundels met vaste maandprijs
